I too have one of these in fact i have 2 one is fully signed including Simon Wright it was given to me after winning a newspaper contest i appeared on stage in Australia with them in 88 at both Perth concerts

Didn’t realise this competition was done thruout the world. My brother was on stage with them in Birmingham UK. When he passed away a couple of years later I inherited the guitar. It was signed, only by 3 of them, to his nickname… which was Bon!

Haha! Great name. For what it’s worth, it wasn’t a competition, and I think it was only Birmingham and London where they made the video with the guitars.

I was at one of those gigs in Birmingham. A day of disasters. The coach driver was late from Nottingham so I didn’t get to meet the band. I brought my own guitar from home as I didn’t know about the cardboard guitars. When I did get on stage, it was so rushed that I didn’t understand the instructions to get off again. I misread the roadie’s instructions to come off again and was late doing so. I think Angus was delayed coming out of his tube and might have burnt himself on a dry ice machine. I got to see the rest of the concert from the front after missing the first three songs. Gutted I didn’t meet them. Mal and Angus practically taught me how to play.

Yes i have one!! with all the band signatures i had it professionally framed only about 5 years ago i was fortunate to win the competition in 1988 blow up your video tour London England at wembley Arena you had to send a photograph of yourself as Angus. we would be on stage during the song who made who…. running around on stage! it was a night to remember.
